WordPress has been pushing out new updates continuously. Each update making it more difficult to use. However, they include some features in new updates but along with adding new features they remove some features also. In recent update called WordPress 4.2, they have removed the feature of adding title attribute to the link. Before this we were able to add some alternative text along with link. Whenever user hovered on the link he was able to view the title text of the link and got some more details about what link is. But in recent update 4.2 they have removed thus feature from WordPress.
As a habit, bloggers are not noticing this change and they are adding text in the Link text box thinking that are adding title attribute to the link. Even I, noticed this change when I added link title attribute to the box and hit OK. It changed my text in the content to that text. This was very problematic for me as I included many links and noticed this change later. I had to change all the text manually later. You might also facing the same problem due to this recent update.
